Barry E. Wills is with the Lord today having passed away on 15 January 2010. Born on 13 January 1945 in Abilene, Texas he travelled around the world with his parents, Howard and Irene Wills along with his brother, Dale, before settling in Washington in 1961. He joined the Navy after graduating from Franklin Pierce High School in 1963. Following a successful tour aboard the USS Ranger (CV-61) during the Vietnam War he left the Navy to attend Western Washington University and spent his summers as a Park Ranger at Mt. Rainier National Park. After graduating in 1972 he chose a career in education and dedicated the next 30 years teaching in the Auburn School District. During these years he also enjoyed his association with the Center for Capable Youth at University of Washington (Mars City Alpha) and as a Scout Master with Pack 561. Always the gentleman, he influenced and shaped thousands of young minds in the true value of hard work and strong moral character with his enthusiastic, encouraging and positive teaching style. He cherished his many long time friendships. He leaves his wife (Dolly), three sons (Erik, David, Kevin), mother (Irene) and brother (Dale). The family wishes to extend special thanks to Leon and Leanne Berg plus the staff of the Puyallup Saint Joseph's Dialysis Center. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please consider giving towards the Saint Joseph's Dialysis and Medical Center.
Please sign our guestbook.
