Celebrating the life of Ronald "Ron" Joseph Druet
January 17, 1931 to June 3, 2010-06-09

Ron was born January 17, 1931, in Hoquiam, Washington to Joseph and Maude Druet. He graduated from Hoquiam High School and later served in the United States Air Force. During his 22 years of military service Ron was awarded numerous citations while also serving tours of duty in England, Thailand and twice in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

After retiring from the Air Force, Ron moved to Tacoma, Washington, where he met and married Erika A (Russell) Druet on November 25, 1978. Wishing to continue his serve his community, Ron joined the Pierce County Sheriff Department. Ron continued to work for another 17 years for the Sheriff Department while Erika owned and operated her own beauty salon.

Erika remembers the smiling faces of many of her female costumers when Ron would walk through the doors of her shop. The "ladies" were always fond and a trite envious of Ron's loving attention to Erika. Ron and Erika celebrated 32 wonderful years of marriage together.

During High School, Ron enjoyed playing the trumpet in the High School Band. Many will always remember his clear, beautiful tenor singing. He was an excellent Golfer, loved fishing and traveling with his beloved wife, Erika.

After a 15 year struggle with Parkinson's disease, Ron passed away in his home, with his wife at his side.

Ron is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife, Erika, three step children, two children from a previous marriage, 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
